This right here. My boss sucks because we are salary but makes us stay until 4:30 even if our work is complete l, rounds have been done and patient care is good to go.

I could come in a couple hours prior to my start time to get started early but we have to pretend like we are in the Army and stay until a certain time.

So I'll be leaving when my work is complete.

I work from home when boss is out of town. Still just as productive.

My boss went a work conference once. I kept investigating a case he told me to drop and stirred up a hornets' nest when I led a raid to catch the perp. It didn't end well.

My boss is leaving this weekend for two weeks in Europe

I'm not sure who's more excited about it - him or all us.

I've never met your boss in real life, either. At least I don't think so.

My wife never goes out of town and leaves me with the three kids. I guess she doesn't trust me.

When I go on vacation, I browse TexAgs to see if any of the Aggies working for me are posting about me on TexAgs.

Same. I'm in outside sales and don't talk to my boss much. I usually only find out he's on vacation if I happen to send him an email that week or I call him for something. There's been several times he took a week off and I didn't know about it until he was already back.

I'm guessing someone fell for the banana in the tailpipe trick.

I'm going to Europe for two weeks next month, but my people will be grinding while I'm gone. Why?

They are on commission.

You don't work, you don't get paid.

My boss went skiing once and broke her leg. So I pretended to be in her role while she was mending. I even moved into her townhouse since she was stuck out of town.

We once forged a letter from the boss's alma mater that he had been named to the college's all-time basketball team (he played 2 years as a non-starter in the 1980s) and left it in his mail to open when he got back to work.

Unfortunately we did such a good job that we sat there over the course of the day listening as he called his wife, his kids, and about 15 other people to tell them the good news. The joke that we thought he would figure out in 10-15 seconds lasted 2 very awkward days until he realized that the back of the letter was a random piece of paper from the office with writing on it. I could straight into his office from my desk and watched with one eye as he got extremely red in the face, crumpled up the paper, tossed it, and said absolutely nothing for the rest of the day.
