We differentiate normal Saturdays at home from the rest of the week nights. That's usually done by going out to a restaurant, some grilling, some drinkin', or maybe a full movie on TV instead of an episode or two of a TV show. Real party animals.

We need to kick it up a little. What do you guys do?

I think intentionally seeking out live music is a very good thing.

Doesn't have to be flashy, just support local musicians. Restaurant, bar, club, etc.

Usually go to "the square" where I live and listen to live music. Currently, the Dallas Stars own my Saturdays.

Well as a 58 year old single man....

Usually at home hanging out with my dogs unless I'm at a friend's house grilling and drinking. Friday night is usually steak and bourbon night at my place. Sometimes it's just dudes, sometimes full on dinner party.

You would think there would be something really exciting but dating in today's environment just sucks.

I just post on TexAgs with the hope that one day I'll get that "L" next to my name before getting permabanned. Then I'll know I've succeeded in life.

Hang at home with the wife. Watch a show or play guitar.

Once in a while go find some live local music.

Maybe a nice date night dinner before all of the above.

We have one kid out of the house and the other is 17 so not much going on there. If we aren't hanging out with friends, we usually sit in the hot tub and then go watch a movie. When we get out of the house it's less than 2 miles to Gruene and the Grapevine usually has decent outdoor live music. If we are at the coast, we usually sit on the dock with friends or neighbors.

Why do you think I want a lot of excitement on Saturday night? I'm busy enough the rest of the week and like to relax when I can

I *try* to get over to a buddy's house where he, I and another friend play music. We play a few originals and several covers. We cover many genres and we switch instruments and share vocal responsibilities. We're not great (except Mike "the musician". He can play anything!...and well). But it's a helluva lot of fun.

Pick a cuisine, dress up if you feel like it, and cook up a storm together. It's a fun way to switch things up without leaving the house.
