Parents- my child went on a field trip and get her Nike dunks all muddy. They are purple with white laces. How do I clean them??
I have washed them and have them soaking in Oxy Clean but they aren't coming clean.

Any advice?

Soak in oxy clean and scrub with a toothbrush.
Don't buy kids expensive shoes.

even cheap shoes get dirty. I was just giving a description for help purpose.

Not sure how well it would work on purple shoes but the magic eraser is great for my daughter's white shoes when they get dirty.

When we go somewhere and my wife complains about my dirty shoes, I ask her "do you think the folks we will see will think less of you because of how I dress/"

She says yes, and I go change into clean shoes because I want to see her naked again. But the whole time I be hating her shallow ass friends.

Power washer

Baking soda
soak for bit
Scrub brush
washing machine
air dry.

We wash most of our shoes in the washing machine when they get dirty (front loader), along with using oxy clean spray, etc. We will throw a pair of shoes in along with a regular load of colored clothes. Sometimes I remove the laces and wash them in a separate small laundry bag to clean them more thoroughly and to ensure they don't get tangled in anything during the wash.

We have been doing it for years, it cleans the shoes well, and it has never damaged any shoes as far as I know. We probably wash our kids' everyday sneakers once every month or two.

Edit to say that I missed the comment in your original post that you have already washed them, so this post is less helpful than I thought it might be.

I machine wash my kids dunks. Throw them in with towels and or sheets
