It's what the cash register says when you complete your transaction. If you go on Saturdays, they are all full and going off all the time. It's just funny when 3-4 go off at exactly the same time. It's like Max Headroom. If you don't know who that is, watch it on youtube.

I have never heard that from any of the Costco registers we have ever used.

Unless you are taking about self check out ones? Never used those at Costco.

(And yes I know what Max Headroom is.)
