Did any of you old timers read the Uncle Wiggly children's books?

Not familiar with Uncle Wiggly's work, but I can't say that about Betty's clam.
Uncle Wiggley and Brer Rabbit were both books we read as kids.
I went to Uncle Wiggly's horrible secret sleepover party once. 0 stars would not recommend.
No. But I was once groped as a child at a Piggly Wiggly.
I had the board game. Does that count?
We have the uncle wiggly books in our bookshelf, and they make the rotation of bedtime stories for our kids.
When I was 19, the State of Louisiana raised the drinking age to 21. Private clubs could sell to their members at 18 though, so I became a member of the local Piggly Wiggly. They offered a free lifetime membership with any purchase.
Brer Rabbit was always a staple at naptime. Some of the best memories I have of my grandfather are of him telling me about the tar baby.DamnGood86 said:

Omg my mom used to call me Skeezicks when I was little. I had no idea that was the crow's name in the Uncle Wiggly story!

My mom had the dialect down, I cannot read them out loud.
Pretty soon Uncle Remus stories will be a difficult to find as "Little Black Sambo."
