I picked up a hundred of these today because of all the things I buy that cost between $1.01 and $1.99. It's time this bill makes a major comeback. Turn the dollar into coin and make the $2 the lowest denomination (thanks Biden for the inflation)

I found one laying in the street in the heights in Houston about 25 years ago and it's been in my wallets ever since.
No idea why my iPhone decided to turn this image upside down.
Do you make a speech of your opinion on this to the kid working the register who makes minimum wage? I'm sure you're doing so much influencing for your cause.FIDO*98* said:

the speech is more persuasive if you're wearing a stetson

What color?
I'll do you one better. Get rid of the ****ing penny. We do not need it. For that matter, round everything to the nearest dollar and stop giving me change.FIDO*98* said:

It's what I do every time I go to Vegas for the reasons you said (easy to tip with and they remember you).Brian Earl Spilner said:
My parents pick up 100 of them every time they go to the casino which they use to tip the cocktail waitresses with.
Makes it quicker to tip $1 per drink, and they remember you due to the rarity of the bill.
Quite true. I spotted it as counterfeit right off due to the upside down nature of it. But then I have a trained eye, come to think of it, I have trained eyes (plural) and I am pretty sharp and pick up on things almost instantly if not sooner. You can fool some people but don't be hauling out any upside down currency and hope I don't call you out on it. It's against the damn law.Decay said:MouthBQ98 said:

Counterfeiting foiled again! Who's gonna take an upside down bill!

That's not the saying.
We still get lots of customers paying cash. No one ever produces a 1, 5, or 10. About 25% use 20s, 15% use 100s, and 65% use 50s. Basically the 50 is the new 20 for my generation.strbrst777 said:
The $2 bill in 1963 is today's 20 cents. Put another way, today's $20 bill is the 1963 $2 bill. If you are interested in this sort of thing, search CPI calculator.
