I am looking for a recliner that my wife will allow in our living room that also has all the features like electric recline, lumber, head rest adjust, and heat/massage if that exists in a chair like this. I need controls to be on inside of chair and plug to be under neath the chair. Does this exist?

Unless you're interested in DIY recliner repair videos stay away from LaZ Boy. American made pieces of trash. That said I'm pretty good at repairing them now

We bought a Flexsteel couch. It doesn't have heated seats or massage but the power reclining is a game changer.

I can tell you exactly where you can buy the exact recliner you want, but I am not going to. Because when you reclined in it everyone would see your panties up your skirt.

Go to Amish Craftsman Furniture in Houston. Aggie owned and operated, Kim and Steve are great people. I don't think their recliners have heat, but that can be fixed with a heating pad when you need it. They have fully motorized and manual upholstered recliners and Craftsman style ones that are super comfortable. I bought one of the ones pictured below from them about 15-20 years ago, and my wife liked it so much, we bought a second one for her a few years later. You pick the wood, the stain color, and can pick from hundreds of fabrics and leathers (ours are Aggie maroon leather) and it is custom made for you in one of their shops in the upper Midwest. I would also look hard at their glider rockers. I have sat in them in the store many times and they are super comfortable.

Costco has a Barcalounger periodically that's about $400 that looks to have most of the features you're looking for and looks to be pretty well made from what I can tell.

EDIT- unfortunately inflation has hit, and the automated one is now about $700

Make sure to get the model with the built in toilet and fridge. Less need to get up.

Mine has all of those features plus a 'reach around'. And I didn't have to get approval from the wife because she may/or may not be considered as a feature.

Would you please elaborate on the benefits of power reclining? Other than having to plug a piece of furniture into an outlet, it seems like a hassle to press a button to wait for the chair to adjust enough for my fat ass to get up to get a refreshment just to come back and press another button and wait for it to get back to the appropriate comfort position. A mechanical chair works just fine for me.

My Lazy Boy recliner with a side handle foot rest has lasted 20 years. I got a brand new....as a gift...so not sure what brand that lasted 4 years until all the bracing gave out underneath...the wood brackets.

They may have been 20+ years ago, but I know several people that have not been happy with the quality of their more recent offerings. There was never a time when I would have considered them to be the "best made" in any kind of furniture. Best mid-priced furniture maybe, but lately they are not as cheap as they were and their quality is probably more like upper low-end.

I think like a lot of companies they have varying degrees of quality in their products based on price. Some are better than others. A lot of people think they are getting quality at a great price because of the name and the price they paid when in reality...they just got a cheap chair.

You have infinite adjustability when you don't want your feet all the way up and I can also get the headrest moved forward when I'm reclining for a comfortable position

I know Amish use electricity selectively and the idea that they don't is a myth. But I'm pretty sure utilizing electrcity to avoid using your core muscles to get out of your chair is about as unAmish as it gets.

They build for their customers, not themselves for the most part. My wife and I sat down with one of their builders a few years back and explained what an all in one printer/fax/scanner was while we worked out a design for our office. Our recliners are manual and I like it that way, but they have the electric one available for those who want that, I guess.
