Have ya'll seen this? I first saw it on TikTok and it is quite bizarre. 4 men were hanging out. 3 of them mysteriously died outside while the 4th one was alive and well in the house and claims that he didn't know they were out there.

I think they said police do not suspect foul play. But this is just ODD

Ricky Johnson, David Harrington and Clayton McGeeney's bodies were discovered on Jan. 9, two days after they gathered at their friend Jordan Willis' home to watch a Kansas City Chiefs game on Jan. 7. McGeeney's fianc went looking for him and called the police when she saw him dead on Willis' back porch.

The Kansas City Police Department told PEOPLE that after responding to her call, they confirmed they found a dead body. "Upon further investigation, officers located two other dead bodies in the backyard," a spokesperson for the KCPD said.

John Picerno, Willis' attorney, told PEOPLE in a statement that his client "is unaware of how his friends died," and is "anxiously awaiting the results of the autopsy and toxicology report."

No way alcohol was involved.

Pretty sure they were all drunk.

Probably passed out.

The beers froze at Arrowhead that night.

The 4th friend didn't leave his house for 2 days and didn't know they were out there til one of the girlfriends/fianc came over to check on them? I heard today one was dead on the front porch in a chair but that contradicts with the original story.

I cannot imagine that my ass wouldn't have been out looking for my husband if he didn't come home that night.

There is so much fish all over this. Guy didn't leave his house for two days, one point said he slept for 48 hours. Didn't get texts (that were sent by people looking). Sounds like his lawyer is a dumbass to boot based on what I've read. Toxicology reports will tell a story.

It was actually 5 guys.

One of them left earlier than the other 3 who froze to death.

My bet is drugs were involved. When it gets that cold, ODs tend to go up because people pass out while outside and die of exposure/hypothermia.

This was NOT the near record cold game.

This Sunday (January 7) it was 37F for the high, and the low Monday morning was 32F. That's a very typical winter day for KC. I can see one guy getting drunk and freezing, but three guys freezing out behind the house?!?

Right. It doesn't add up.

And the 5th friend supposed was texting to the alive friend and alive friend denied it.

Reminds me of the story a few years back from Wyoming I think. Guy's GF is leaving and tells him not to get up and get dressed to walk her to her car as she leaves at night. She walks out, slips on the ice, hits her head and dies on his driveway. He apparently didn't find her until the next morning. Still can't believe he didn't at least watch to make sure her car made it out of the driveway from a window, but oh well.

I saw a news segment on this yesterday. Apparently there are drugs that will basically put you in a coma for a couple of days. When you mix this with alcohol or hallucinogens, these guys could definitely end up outside and then fall asleep right there & freeze to death over the next couple of days. Someone could also go to sleep for 2 days without answering calls or texts and with no knowledge of what's happening in his back yard.

The show I saw also said it's possible to wake up and do certain routine, simple tasks such as answering the phone and even getting dressed before returning to bed with no recollection of it later.

It's like being black-out drunk but at a whole other level.

It was on NewsNation. They rattled off a few drugs that could do it. They weren't anything I'd heard of so I don't recall names. They were derivatives of prescription drugs used in hospitals that have made their way to the streets.

Of course, the segment was all speculatory since the toxicology results are not back yet.

Color me skeptical. This sounds like the report of suburban facebook mom who also says there is drug laced halloween candy. The half life just about any drug is only a few hours.

In the last week, there were 2 similar cases in University- one at U of Illinois and other at Purdue.
In both cases, it seems like the teenage boys got drunk and staggered back home and fell unconscious on the side of the road in the freezing temperatures and died from the cold. No one attacked them.

Sad situations for them and the families, but they themselves are responsible.

I am really not following this story although I live in Kansas. I heard a blurb that the homeowners story changed, and he said he saw them leaving the house. If the story is true, then it's odd that the homeowner said he saw them leave the house, but were found frozen in the back yard.

there was a 5th guy there who said he left the house around midnight.

Homeowner ('the scientist') said they went to bed around 2am. he was woken up 2 days later. Swears he had nothing to do with it. He's now in rehab.

Cousin of one of the dead guys said the scientist has been known to have made crazy drug cocktails dating back to high school and everyone knows him for this skill. The cousin speculates the dude created some sort of cocktail and messed up the dosage. The other guys went outside to do whatever...smoke, drink, zonk out and die in the cold while the other dude is sleeping away inside.

If he provided the drugs that ultimately killed them, he could be charged with felony murder. I'm pretty sure he was involved which is why he has now moved out of the house and entered rehab.
