Just a little thing to think about.

Here are the rules.

You cannot monetize it in any way, it is a free cure for everyone in the world... cancer no longer exists.
You cannot choose to cure just the kids, or just certain types of cancer.

You would have to be a complete ******* who deserves cancer if you didn't.

I am sure it would put millions out of jobs, but millions of lives would be saved and years of pain would be gone. And, I am sure those people who are in the medical business of serving those with cancer would agree that finding a new job would be worth all the pain and suffering that would be prevented.

Without a doubt, yes. I don't need any credit, I just want the loved ones I've lost to have some retribution.

So there's gonna be a lot more smokers then?

True, but consider the following.

They will die of something. Curing all cancer will raise life expectancy by 3 years. They will now be dying of heart disease, diabetes, or alzheimers. Wont they still suffer?

I don't really think it would put people out of work because the people who used to work cancer will now just work on people slowly dying of diabetes and alzheimers.

It would break social security and insurance as there would be 3 more years of benefits and care on average for every person. Sure it would save cancer treatment costs but there would be other costs taking their place.

Why would anyone say no to that question.

There's no real down side to this question.

A better question is would you cure cancer but you have to die for it to happen?

ETA: no matter who discovers it, every one in medicine would have their greedy, grubby little hands in it…doctors, pharma, insurance, gubmint

My Father in law died of cancer and my mother got "Stage 0" or something and was cured.
Seeing my Father In law's state after chemotherapy made me cry.
So YES, I will do so. No money, no credit needed. I will be really happy if no human being had to suffer like that any more. It is better to just drop dead than become a shell and suffer so much.

Yes. I have several relatives that have had or have cancer and almost all of my relatives that have passed in the last 15 years or so, it was cancer that caused or contributed.

If cancer were forever cured, we could go back to the good old days of sharing a smoke with little Johnny.

Let's solve hunger first.

No reason to keep people alive if you can't feed them.

The downside is that people live longer. Total population goes up. Food sources don't.
