If I knew going in that I would die to save the stranger then the answer would be no. But it would never be like that. Like Gomer posted earlier, I could see myself getting into a situation that might result in a bad outcome, even though I didn't realize it when it started.

I have never been in that sort of situation so hard to say my reaction. I did keep someone from killing himself though I had no idea at the time that I was doing so. But if I saw a woman or a child in serious danger, I would hope I would try to stop it.

Noah... I haven't boated much for the last 12 years. But I think about kayaking every day. Every single day.

There is nothing else like it. Your skill against the entire power of a river and gravity.

Sometimes when kayaking really big stuff the entire world goes white. The stuff comes at you so fast that your brain and eyes can't process it. I can't describe just how mundane it makes everything else when you compare that feeling to anything.

Every single day I want to do it again. I'm old, fat, out of shape, etc etc and I still want to do it again


There are a lot of old kayakers, There are plenty of bold kayakers... but there are few old bold kayakers

So like electricians.
