Watching the Texans game and I just saw an add saying they're bringing it back for a limited run. Translation, us Chicagoland folks know we f'd up Whataburger, so we are going to try and fix that, but just for a limited time....

It's been back for a while. I really wish they'd go back to making good burgers instead of gimmick burgers. That was long before Chicago took over

I got my correct order yesterday in 5 min. Ordered it on the app at work. Drove there. Walked in and they had just dropped the fries in the bag. She walked over, grabbed my already poured tea, handed them to me and I was in and out of the actual restaurant in less than 1 min.

It was tasty and had everything on it I asked for.

Maybe they just don't like you?

The best burger at Whataburger is their breakfast burger. Unfortunately my morning commute these days doesn't take me anywhere close to a Whataburger.

I don't think I've had my order at Whataburger screwed up in several years. Their service has gotten a lot better overall in the last 5 years.

You've never waited 30 minutes for your order, unless you were ordering for 20 people. Don't lie to try and make your point.

The last time I remember getting whataburger I ordered two burgers and waited forty-two minutes. It was aound 2 p.m. No one in front of me. One person ordered fifteen minutes after me and got her meal at the same time I did.

Whataburger quality varies WILDLY from location to location. Go to Whataburger in Bay City and see if you still think an order can't take 30 minutes and still be wrong.

My local Whataburger (Cuero) has also always been pretty bad. It's super slow, and i couldn't tell you the last time i got food there that wasn't cold.

Whataburger at SW Parkway and Wellborn is slow and inaccurate.

Same for the location by Lowe's.

Rock Prairie is mostly ok. Mostly.

40 minutes is not unusual to wait for an order that will be cold and wrong.

It really comes down to your baseline. I have a friend who gets frozen burger patties from Costco, overcooks them on the grill, then his wife pulls everything out of the fridge including cheese once the burgers are ready.

My next-door neighbor swears by Bubba burgers at HEB

They both love Whataburger

If you start with a low enough standard, I'm sure your perception is that Whataburger is good

Go to Whataburger for lunch today, order two burgers, and video your entire wait on your phone after placing your order. If that video is 42 minutes long, or even 30 minutes long, I will agree that I am wrong and you are right.

I stopped using the app to order because it wasn't saving any time at all. I would order with the app, show up and check in, and it would take another 15 minutes for them to bring my food out. I started paying attention to the drive through line and it became apparent that they were putting my order in line behind whatever orders they had from the drive through at the point I checked in. So I would get it just as fast (or mostly slow) by ordering at the drive through. Which is a shame, because when they were actually willing to have your order ready when you got there, it was a very convenient way to do things.

The Whataburgers around me are all incredibly slow. Definitely have had some longer than 30 minutes waits in the drive through. You can sit for over 10 minutes without a single car getting their order.

I've tried ordering ahead on the app and it's just as bad. It seems like those orders get lost or forgotten about. I show up and then end up waiting 15 minutes plus anyways.

Whataburger is inconsistent and spotty. A few locations are well run and gems. Most are pretty mediocre to awful. My guess is that the operating partners don't have to spend much time there and their management training is poor. Really sad because when they're good, they're amongst the top 2-3 fast food places out there. But mostly it's very slow and inconsistent.

If you get ushered in to lane B, you know you're going to get screwed and people behind you that are sent to lane A will get their food before you.

This is by far the worst Whataburger anywhere.....
