I once kept a Jamaican guy on the phone for over 15 minutes by pretending to be an old lady interested in his "you bought from Walmart so you won a free cruise" scam. I thought it was kind of fun. I pretended to be kind of deaf and also senile. I made him repeat himself a lot. Talked about my grandkids. One of them was in the navy. The other one was in prison for a crime he didn't commit and I was desperately trying to get him out.

What is the reaction when these clowns realize they are being toyed with?

I kept a scammer going for 47 minutes once. It was the "your cable bill is going up unless you sign up for a discount" scam. I had time to kill, so I was using fake credit card generators, fake addresses, all sorts of things. It was fun hearing them get frustrated because my credit card numbers would pass the entry, but got declined every time. I must have gone through 5 or 6 fake cards that day.

Great job, Hoosegow. I too, have a personal record keeping those ****heads on the phone. Had a solar guy come out to a fake address in my town to personally show me solar panels. He called me about 20 minutes before our meeting to say he met the homeowner and was confused. He wasn't too happy with me - totally worth it.

Had a recurring 'Microsoft' employee that would call me about once a week to alert me I had a virus. I had fun wasting his time too.

I just don't answer numbers that i don't recognize. Which is like 90% of the calls that i receive.
