I believe in the importance of DEI - I really do. And I believe that educating others and advocating for DEI is in everyone's best interest as a society.
I also agree with you that DEI efforts can become a checkbox for corporations, and I hate that. Do it right or don't do it at all. And definitely don't waste my time by doing it as a checkbox.
The event this morning was a series of panels and speakers on different DEI topics. Who attends an event like that? People who are already in DEI. So it's a room full of people talking to each other about the importance of the work they already believe in.
