I think he looks better with the beard. Without it he looks like a dude you shouldn't leave your kids with from a small backwoods country church.
With the beard he just looks like someone that would teach your kids a hard lesson about being out in the wild.

Is that show the reason for the more recent popularity of trucker beards? I've run into a couple guys from the old neighborhood recently that I hadn't seen in a while, maybe since before Covid, and they were unrecognizable with the long beards until they spoke.

I think the long beard trend is pretty much over. It seemed to come into fashion from two different directions hipsters and special forces "operators" in the WoT. Both groups have seemed to move on to different looks. But there are a few hangers-on.
