In the market for new mattress…

Want something foam or hybrid that "cool." The Temperpedic one we like is like $6,000….wondering if any of the other online options (Nectar, Helix, Casper) etc are legit?

The top of the line Nectar copper thing looks like it might be legit for a lot less.

Did the Casper. Hated it. Made it maybe a week. Like sleeping in an actual furnace.

Is $6,000 supposed to be a lot of money? Seems kind cheap for something your going to spend 1/3 of your life in and will be boneing in. I would spend way more.

Did the Casper. Love it. I'm a dude with some gnarly back and shoulder issues from my football days, and it's a lifesaver. It does run a little hot, but nothing that can't be overcome with proper bedding.

Buy from costco. They will take it back if you don't like it. Sure, the others say they will, but you costco isn't trying to play some crazy games and make you jump through hoops to get your money back.

That's because latex mattresses are inherently cooler than memory foam. Can't recommend latex enough - most people buy in to the marketing of memory foam though. Latex also lasts longer. Get one online that lets you customize the layers and/or do side/side split if you have a spouse so you can get each side just how you like it.

Seriously though, I love my purple. It sleeps cool enough, and I don't feel chester move around in the middle of the night. My last dog would wake me up jumping down/up in the middle of the night

I have a Saatva now in guest room wasnt quite firm enough for me but overall a good bed. Guests love it. Now have a Bear mattress and it was a game changer, sleep a lot better now.

Us too. Like 9 years old and still good as new. Comfortable. Can't stand not sleeping in it.

Ordered a Casper king size about 4 years ago. My back was jacked up after one night of sleeping on it. Gave it a week to see if I would adjust. Nope, just got worse. They honored their guarantee and picked it up. Went to local store and negotiateda good deal on a top sealy. Much better results. No foam memory for my family.
