Knocked out some work stuff yesterday. Maybe more of that today

Purged some stuff we don't need yesterday. See if we can purge more today. I'm ready to go a bit more minimalist

Need to reorganize a former utility closet into a new storage space. Haven't decided what to put there. We don't have a proper hall closet so maybe use it for that. Purging more stuff will help

Dog walked. Row, laundry, chores. Lift tonight.

I drove by there yesterday and also couldn't understand how they do it. It is freaking miserable outside if you stay out for very long.

Wife went walking with a neighbor this morning.

I washed big dishes and did some cleaning in the kitchen while she went to pick up breakfast for us. It was outstanding as usual.

Need to decide what to do next. It's too freaking hot outside to do anything for very long.

Guitar practice at some point. Instructor wants me to have some fun challenging myself with a song that most normal humans can't play. Hope he likes it at 1/4 tempo.

I didnt sleep well, but I usually dont have a sunburn. When I went to Austin, I brought back HEB tortillas and chorrizo de San Manuel. I made that for breakfast and my god, please move to Colorado, HEB.

- Why do we have middle names?

- Sister wants all of us to go on a cruise together next summer and I'm so down. I've already started thinking about our matching t-shirts.

- I wish I could convince her / them to move somewhere out of state like Angel Fire, NM or something where the high is 75-80 during the summer. I would be so much happier but I don't want to leave them.

I think he wants to have an excuse to play it and wants to throw me a bone to get me out of the normal rhythm and soloing book exercises.

We needed middle names strictly for data sorting.

Ready for June to be over.

The month started with our weiner dog dashing out the front door at 1:30 in the morning. When we finally found him he had chased a cat into the backyard of a neighbor (not the first time) and chased it up a tree. Yes, our little dachshund was eight feet up a tree. We had to wake the nieghbor to let us back there to get him down.

Few days later, son who lives in Midland tried to go to a concert in Lubbock. Storms flooded the highway north of Lamesa so there was a detour. Detour route got washed out with deep mud. His car got stuck (as did others). Luckily an old boy was out there with his pickup pulling people out. In the prcess his entire front bumper/shroud came off in the mud.

The next week the wife and her sister went to Hot Springs Arkansas on a sisters trip. Got whacked by a hail storm, same system that had rolled through north DFW producing grapefruit-sized hail. The sunroof of her car got obliterated. She had to take a shower curtain and duct tape to seal it up and make it back home.

Then last week I'm in the drive thru at a fast food establishment. Foot slipped off the brake pedal and I tapped the pickup in front of me twice before I could stop. Not horrible, but hard enough that we'll both require new bumpers.

THEN, I was at home with a sledge hammer trying to beat the bent bumper back a little bit to make sure there was plenty of clearence between the corner of it and my tire when I turn. Somehow managed to hurt my arm. Felt like I detached my bicep at the elbow for a couple of days. It's finally feeling better.

And it's really hot. June sucks.

Yikes.

Finally turned on the AC today as our temp hit high 80s low 90s.

Making iced tea now.
