Saw a trailer for this show about sorority rush at Gump U. Looks like a crap show. We don't do HBO Max so will just wait for people on the interwebs to post clips while they rip those girls apart for being vapid bubble heads. That is what will happen, yes?

It's definitely does no favors to Bama or Greek life. Also it's bat **** crazy what some of these women do to get into a sorority. Like hiring outside consultants to help get them into a top tier sorority

Made it home Tuesday. A lot of getting used to life in wheelchair or slowly moving in a walker including getting the house accessible.
Mostly back to fulltime work schedule. Would go insane otherwise if I didn't have anything to do.
Friend coming over later to help with a good inspection of the bike. Need to get the shifting system out of crash mode. Need to remove the bar tape on one side to see if there's damage to the handle bars. Need to realign the left shifter and seat. Probably some other things. At some point I need to replace my glasses and start looking into the crash replacement plans for my jersey, bibs, and helmet.
Thankfully taking painkillers (10mg oxy) very sparingly. Pain kind of ebbs and flows, but only taking ~2/day compared to 6/day during the second week in the hospital.
Might buy a purple seat cushion for the wheelchair. The supplied cushion sucks ass, and since I'm in the chair the entire workday I need something better.

She probably appreciated that.

Glad you are home and getting around somewhat and being proactive about your situation. And not on lots of pain killers!

Yard mowed and trimmed. Time for pool this afternoon! Damn, it was humid out this morning in CS.

Get a national parks passport book and stamp it when you visit one. Most national parks have great scenic drives if hiking isn't your thing

Without saying too much about their identities, two of my sisters-in-law were in that documentary. They own shops that were contracted to help in preparing some of the girls for rush. One is briefly shown in that trailer They confirmed that the girls undergoing rush, in general, were as vapid and entitled as the documentary probably shows them to be.

Got my run in. There was a coffee shop with a bluegrass band so that made it more fun.
Looked at the mess from the tornado Thursday. It passed about 1000 yds from my house.

I think it is an aging thing. But also a "good Lord, how can there be reality that is this beautiful?" thing.

One of my best friends vacations almost exclusively at national parks. When he and his wife are empty nesters that might change, but for now they take the kids to see the beautiful parts of North America.

Duuuuude. 4 hrs by the pool and I am browner than brown.

Hits the low 80s today with lows around 62. Dry, cool mountain air. For about the 53rd day we need neither AC nor heat, merely ceiling fans.
