I'm alive. Surgery completed. Have a massive gash right below my abs where they somehow went in from there to reach the pelvis. Pain in hip seems less (hopefully the nerve block has already worn off and this is the normal pain level), pain is wound does not. Will be a cripple for 3-6 months. Have already been shopping for some sweet canes whenever I can graduate from wheelchair/walker/crutches.
