Was working on some stuff earlier before friends came over for dinner w their kids. Left my laptop open, and since it was connected to power it didn't lock.

Well, they left and I went to send an email. My teams was open and apparently their little **** kid sent a message to my superior that says "boner collection". Nothing more, nothing less.

I right clicked on the message and it let me delete it, but not sure if that's just on my side.

too late, now you have to think of what you're going to do when they ask to see your Boner Collection.

Did notice if your boss read it before you deleted? Probably saw it if he has Teams on his phone and is one to respond to messages after-hours. I don't think the pop-up notification even triggers a marked read if they don't open the app, so possible he saw it regardless of the status. Although I'd imagine he'd open the app if he saw that msg lol.

It was a woman. She didn't say anything when I was helping her out together Happy Meal boxes this morning, so I think I'm safe

If they have teams on their phone, that notification will still be there with the text after you delete the message. I'd probably just let them know what happened so they don't think you're fkn weirdo trying to land a joke and then deleting it.

Or maybe she already thinks you're a weirdo. Probably does.

I got a text from my friend once asking why when he video called me there was a duck.

I had no idea he video cslled but I was at a friends place and their friend's kid is a 4 year old boy and was playing with the pet duck. He heard the phone ring, answered it and just put the duck in front of the video.

Kids are great.

I would die laughing if I answered a FaceTime and there's just a duck sitting there.

Also sometimes you get an email that says "xxx is trying to reach you on teams" with a snippet of the message. I would tell him what happened.

The trick after deleting a Teams message in a chat is to add a new message. All of the notifications will be about the new message.

This is why you don't show your friend's kids your boner collection in the first place. They won't go searching for it if they don't know you have it.
