Taking the lessons. Gonna be awhile before I'm ready to teach anybody how to play

This process just reinforces how beneficial it is for a person to learn when they are young. When I played bass as a teen and was in a band, we could commit many hours to practicing and learning new songs

As an adult, there are just so many responsibilities that get in the way. Getting in 30 minutes to an hour per day of practice just doesn't happen regularly

How do you like the Spark Go?

I wanted to sleep in but woke at 7:20 anyway. Womp womp.

I like it a lot. Haven't traveled with it yet but it'll be nice to have something that fits in a guitar case. Mostly it takes away my excuses for practicing when I'm not near my larger amps.

I didn't have my Mini very long before they announced the Go. Portability is what I was after and the Go is even more portable than the Mini.

The Mini does fit in my backpack so that's a plus but the Go might be another purchase in the future.

Yay for vacation!!!

Dog walked, back lawn mowed. Probably more yardwork, then catch up on some work stuff.

- Not enough sleep. Hopefully I'll make up for that tonight / tomorrow.
- Dog tentatively spoken for; am planning to meet tomorrow morning for the handoff if all goes as planned. Feeling grateful about that - and hopeful, since it's not a done deal yet.
- Gonna read all day until I have to make myself presentable to go in public and do public things like talk to people.

Where do you like to stay in Vegas? Last time I stayed old Vegas and had a blast. It was better than staying on the strip I thought.

Yes. It was an offer I couldn't refuse. Current plan is to sell the Dallas house and buy a condo in cash. Pay the pagosa house down aggressively and be done with everything in 8 years. Work a remote job only after that or do consulting. Can I survive the 8ish years (potentially less based on bonuses) in the Tine? Uncertain

Houston is actually a pretty amazing city. I enjoyed living there for 10 years. The humidity is balls, but theres tons to do. Congrats on the new job!

The worst thing is you have added another day of travel to and from your place in Colorado.
