I looked it up and yeah that's extremely gut wrenching.

I can't imagine.

It was pretty terrible when we found out. My wife is a big fan. Because of that we make sure our kids start swim lessons at age one

Best of luck to him, he's made some great music. I'm a little disappointed he's only playing 2 shows in Texas

elizabeth CO lol..

That is a tiny horse town about 25 miles south of me. He must be playing the county fair or something.. they don't have any music venues.
Looks like he's playing the Rodeo there. Don't know how big their rodeo is, but probably at least a little bigger than a county fair.

Boom.

Granger Smith is currently working toward a master's degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has made an incredible commitment and I wish him well.

Got tickets for the very last show of his at Billy Bobs. Should be an emotional night full of Aggies I'm sure.

For those comparing this to George straits "farewell tour" give me a break. Granger Smith is nowhere near the planetary orbit George strait pulls.

Granger has said publicly this is the last tour for Granger Smith. No mention of Earl dibbles Jr. Also - don't be surprised if he starts making Christian rock/ country, pretty sure he already was featured on a few Christian rock band songs.

Granger Smith is nowhere near the best or even close but he's got a special place in this Texas music fans heart for being such a good rep for A&M. Saw him countless times in college station before he blew up.

Hoping that last show at Billy Bobs, we get one more "we bleed maroon" from Granger Smith (who has some gray hair now by the way).

At least he's not a sanctimonious dbag like REK who is "out of retirement" less than a year later.
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

Help me understand why Billy Ray Cyrus' song Achy Breaky Heart is the worst song ever written

Billy Ray Cyrus' song Achy Breaky Heart is considered by some to be one of the worst songs ever written. The song was released in 1992 and became a worldwide hit, reaching number one on the charts in several countries. However, the song has also been criticized for its repetitive lyrics, cheesy melody, and over-the-top performance by Cyrus.
Some people find the song's lyrics to be particularly annoying. The song is about a man who is in love with a woman who makes his heart ache. However, the lyrics are often nonsensical and repetitive. For example, the chorus of the song repeats the line "My achy breaky heart" over and over again. This can be jarring to some listeners and make the song difficult to listen to.
The song's melody is also criticized for being cheesy and over-the-top. The song is in a simple major key and has a catchy tune, but it is also very simple and repetitive. This can make the song sound childish and amateurish to some listeners.
Finally, Cyrus' performance in the song is also criticized. Cyrus sings the song in a high-pitched, nasal voice that some people find to be irritating. He also dances in a silly way in the music video, which further adds to the song's cheesy image.
Overall, Achy Breaky Heart is a song that is considered by some to be one of the worst songs ever written. The song has been criticized for its repetitive lyrics, cheesy melody, and over-the-top performance by Cyrus. However, the song has also been a commercial success and has become a cult classic.

I love how it repetitively says how annoying the repetitive lyrics are.
