its a simple question
What do you consider "pop culture"?Quote:

Not me. I'm shopping for overalls like my grandfather, "Big Daddy", use to wear.lancevance said:
Don't we all, if not immediately than eventually? Even my grandfather quit wearing his high waisted dress pants and switched to relaxed denim. Those high waisted dress pants may look very retro cool now but back in the 80s and 90s it was like uhhh does he really have to wear these...
Uh, if it's not immediately, is it still pop culture?lancevance said:

As a 66 year old married man that got married when I was 54 and too old to change, and doesn't participate in any social media (if you exclude texags and TBH) then the answer is a definite no. Don't need to dress hip to attract someone of the opposite sex because the rib accepts me as I am. I could care less what friends and family outside of the wife think as far as whether I am "hip" or not.

You were embarrassed by what your grandfather wore. That says a lot about you and nothing about him.
My grandfather wore high waisted slacks his entire life, never owned a pair of jeans. Church dress pants, moved down to house dress pants, moved down to yard work dress pants. And as a high school kid in the 90's anytime i got the chance to go someplace with him I was damn proud to do it. High waisted dress pants and all.
Um, please... flip flops. What middle age man wears shoes, unless it's freezing outside.Apache said:Quote:

well, I actually don't know anything about modern fashion, so I'm not sure how I'm doing there, but I'm pretty sure I'm not "in style". At all.
