When you're in your 20s, living in a town full of your peers is great. When you're 35 or 40, I couldn't think of anything much worse than living in a town full of 20 year olds

This.

People need to grow the hell up.
CS is great when one is a teen or in early 20s when everyone around is the same age. But when one gets older, it's just sad.

Please tell me more about how I can grow up. And be less sad. Apparently I fit in that box You describe.

We all get older. I am not in the age group that fits well in College Station with the teens and 20s kids. So all you have to do to be less sad is to move to a grown-up place. Stop lusting for your bygone student days. They ain't comin' back.

This is one of the most narrow minded opinions I've seen in a while.

To summarize, CS is not a grown up place, I'm pining for my college days, and have no desire to do anything but be a burnout in life.

You are a fvkking moron. Best wishes to you in the future.

Seriously, is this supposed to General Board edgy and I'm just missing the humor?

Claim down man, why so grumpy on a Sunday afternoon?

Sir, you don't know me and I can assure you that you haven't seen "grumpy." Lol.

I replied based on how I would typically respond to a snot nosed (hard to believe I'm saying that about someone who I think has a HS aged kid...), judgmental *****.

I go twice a year for business and enjoy roaming around campus and northgate. I doubt I would move back, but it really has nothing to do with it being a college town, restaurants, etc. I do know I feel old as hell when I'm on NG now.

There's a lot of Old Ags who have moved back here to retire. I've yet to find one who wants to go hang out with the kids and try recapture their college days. Most just like the size of the city and what's available here. Most have some level of passion for Aggie sports and that's often the entertainment they seek. It's a slower, peaceful way of life with convenient access to bigger cities, hospitals and health care, entertainment, etc.

I'd say it used to be. But now BCS has almost 300k people. Heck, that's 30% of the city of Austin and way bigger than most peoples respective "suburbs".

agreed. Over crowded as hell. Roads weren't built to accommodate the number of people who live there.

Having a ranch within gameday striking distance would be very nice.

The community of Dime Box allows that to be in grasp.
