Sounds awesome OP. Don't let the haters get to you. I always roll my eyes when my wife wants to see one of these pop singer concerts, but sometimes they're fun.

I've been to a few concerts with my wife, including Carrie Underwood (floor near stage), and Katy Perry (not floor).

Honestly Katy Perry turned to be one of the best shows I've ever been to. Really top notch special effects, really surprised me. Also she put a different twist on a few songs, different version than on radio or album for some of them. One song was converted to heavy rock with dueling guitars and fire and stuff, totally surprised me, very memorable.
Another song she slowed down and sang solo playing piano really showing off her vocal talent.

- She played about 3 hours 15 minutes
- She's doing 2 "surprise songs" per show. We got White Horse (ok, fine) and cowboy like me.
- For cowboy like me she brought out Marcus Mumford, first special guest of the tour so far

My personal highlight was that I was wearing what she wore in the yacht scene of The Man music video. During Delicate, she was looking into our part of the floor and pointed at me and mouthed "The Man" with a big grin on her face. After the show, a random girl came up to me and told me she had gotten a video of it, so she sent it to me. It was so cool to have an interaction like that with Taylor and then to have a random person validate it just because was a very nice thing to do.

It was a really cool experience to see a stadium show from the floor, the sound of the crowd was so intense. Glad I'll be able to see it from other perspectives too though because some of the stage effects are best viewed from other parts of the stadium.

I have two 8 year old girls and if I could afford a Taylor Swift show I'd probably take them. Not my cup of teas, but I'm sure she does a good show. My kids would love it though.

But I wouldn't go with my girlfriend and she, too, is pretty damn hot.

I also wouldn't dress in character. That's kind of weird.

The stupidest thing about the "you lost your man card" crowd is that the show is at least 80/20 men to women, with many of the ladies dressed to the nines. Not that attending a concert has any bearing or effect on your sexuality in the first place, but if that is really your worldview you should want to attend pop concerts.
