Haven't tried them, but what I've found so far with most fast food/chain restaurant places, they mainly use jalapeno for the primary spice in their "ghost pepper" foods and just enough ghost pepper to legally use it in the name, but not enough to add to the heat level. Most people can't handle jalapeno heat very well, so they think "wow this is hot", but wouldn't be able to handle ghost pepper at any substantial level. All a marketing ploy.

I tend to agree with this. Habaneros are extremely flavorful

With the wide variety of peppers available these days, any fool can make something spicy hot. Hot and flavorful is a skill.

Found that my local Popeyes eatery doesn't have them.

That's why I don't get the people who are all about Carolina reapers. They are all hot and zero flavor.

How long did they make you wait for that delectable dinner

Couple minutes. I was shocked.

I had them tonight. Pretty minimal heat but good flavor. I suggest asking for hot sauce and pouring it on.
