I have hesitated to ask this on this board, but I need some ideas. I am the "company shopper" for my husband's small defense contracting company, and a few years ago we decided we wanted the employees that attended the Christmas party to go home with a gift. They all get a cash Christmas bonus, but party attendees get an extra gift. The gifts started out in the $75-100 range, but last year we upped our game to more expensive gifts. In the past we would have three or four items to choose from, but this year I am trying to do around 20 unique gifts. I'm currently stuck at 15.

So far I have: Two different size TV's, All Clad nonstick cookware set, Apple watch, Galaxy watch, iPad, Samsung tablet, Henckels knife set, KitchenAid mixer, Vitamix blender, Dyson stick vacuum, Blackstone griddle, Solo fire pit, Vizio sound bar, and Bose 700 headphones. Have utilized great sale prices to keep everything around $350 or less. Plan to do some gift cards too, but would like 5-6 more items to choose from before I do gift cards.

Other things I have thought of:
Luggage (Travelpro, probably just 2 pieces)
Gaming monitor
Le Creuset dutch oven

Appreciate any other ideas or opinions on the three things above. Thanks!
Claude!

In the vein of the Blackstone griddle, you could get one of the Ooni pizza ovens for about $350. Or a pretty nice chop saw.

"small defense contracting company" sounds like you'll might be outdoor friendly. So maybe a Benchmade knife? A Yeti cooler? Case of ammo?

No idea if any of our folks are doing anything with regard to Ukraine, and we don't provide toilet seats. Our product is the expertise of our employees, many of them veterans. Aggie husband is a service-disabled vet as well. We go out of our way to provide excellent benefits because we want to KEEP them, which is not easy to do in the current employment environment. These gifts are another way to show our employees how much they are valued as part of our company family.

We have one employee on the autism spectrum that I am worried about having something for; last year she picked an Apple watch, but I am not sure what we will have this year that will interest her. Probably the Bose headphones if they haven't been picked by the time it is her turn to choose…not sure what else.

That brings up a whole other subject, with how to determine picking order. Last year we had various activities and games that you accrued points with, and highest point total got to pick first, and then on down the line. I suppose we could just draw numbers, but I think it is more fun to have actual activities to compete in. So any ideas for that are welcome too.

I appreciate the serious suggestions, and am pleasantly surprised at the lack of inappropriate ones so far…the GB is on good behavior today ;-)

Don't tempt us. That can only last so long and you might want to take down your phone number from one of your old OPs.

I'm making the assumption that the employee demographic is dominated by men, but maybe some wouldn't mind selecting things that would interest / benefit their female family members.

- Barefoot Dreams robe / blankets / maybe slippers if they make them, or some combo. They are comfy as hell.
- Dyson hair dryer
- Cashmere scarf
- UGG slippers, for men or women
- Apple AirTags, 4-pack with nice covers/holder things
- Theragun
- Kindle + cover + gift card to buy some books
- Nintendo Switch
- Fancy air fryer
- Extra vacation days (if you don't offer unlimited vacation)
- Coravin wine opener

Right. Hide behind the disabled crap. We all know there is no money in that. We all know your husbands company is doing the alien autopsies. That is where the big buck are made that fund all these "gifts".

Go with a VR headset. Or, a hotel stay. Those are popular at the fund raising auctions for my kids private school.

Sephora (maybe it was Ulta, I can't remember who's website it was on) has a limited edition blue Dyson hair dryer with all the attachments. It's real pretty. If you have some ladies at your company I would put at least 1 or 2 of these on the list.

Give them the money for the value you were going to spend. No one wants bull***** Gift cards are annoying. Give them checks. I really dont get why people complicate christmas. Your employees work for you for money, not waffle makers. Give them the money.

Someone recently donated 10 Trojan "Flutter Targeted Tip" vibrators to a nonprofit a friend of mine works for. He was tempted to give them out at their holiday party, but decided he didn't want to get sued.
