How long do you want to ignore this user?
When you get a birthday notification on Facebook for a friend or relative who is deceased, do you still wish them a happy birthday or do you ignore it?

I don't wish anybody happy birthday on Facebook.

Sometimes I'll see those and depending on my mood will tell them happy birthday and that I miss them.

Same here. I tend to do it for those who I know have family on FB and would appreciate knowing their loved one was remembered.

A client of mine died earlier this year. His automated work anniversary post on LinkedIn had about 50 comments saying "Congrats!" about 3 months after he passed.

I always check our Friendship to see if they wished me a happy birthday. If they did, I will wish them one as well. If not, I ignore them. Living or dead, same deal.

I use that reminder to hunt up pics of them and post them. I imagine the family enjoys the memory shared.

I ignore it, unlike the Democrats, who view it as a solid vote.

If God deleted them from Earth, probably time to delete them from my friend list

It's always awkward when someone doesn't know they died, and posts "Happy Birthday! Hope this is the best one yet!"

Depending on their destination in the afterlife, it might be.

If Facebook has to remind me of someone's birthday then I probably don't really care that much.

Same. Further, I try to remember to take my birthday off facebook every year leading up to my birthday so I don't get the birthday wishes from randos I haven't talked to since sophomore year of high school.

If I'm not gonna call my living mom on her birthday I'm surely not gonna wish a dead semi-acquaintance happy birthday.
Let's go, Brandon!

Done and done. Got rid of that **** 4 years ago. If I don't care about you enough to know when your birthday is on my own then do you really need a half hearted HBD from me?

I like it when I get friend requests from people I know, for a fact, are dead.

I never used to. Then my aunt told me that she loves when people post on my deceased cousin's page. She said it really comforts her to know that people still think about my cousin. So now I'll usually post something if it was someone I knew well. Or I'll use the reminder as a prompt to contact the family directly and let them know they're in my thoughts. I think for a lot of people the worst part of grief is worrying that everyone has forgotten about your loved one and birthdays and holidays are especially difficult in that regard.
