Has anyone here heard of the trolley problem? It was in an episode of The Good Place and is a famous philosophical thought experiment. There's even some memes about it.
What was your final score? Mine was 87.
Plot twist: you BEILEVE pulling the lever will kill only one person instead of 5, but what if it does the opposite? The game is stupid, because it never gives you any reason to doubt the validity of all it's assumptions. Without more concrete evidence, I choose not to get involved.

Wouldn't pulling the lever make the trolley switch tracks and not pulling it would make it stay on the same track, so what the game says is true? I don't think there's trolleys that stay on the same track if you pull the lever and switch tracks if you don't pull the lever.
Chidi Anagonye LOVES the trolley problem and doesn't have trouble making decisions AT ALL.
It depends on if you know how railroad switches work and how to read the points.
The simple answer is to reverse the points as the trolly passes over the switch or only move the points halfway and derail the trolly.

I ran over the five people instead of the one because they would have died anyways, even if I wasn't there, and letting someone die is different than killing them.

Isn't letting someone die different than killing them? Cause if someone switches tracks for the trolley to kill one person, they're actually killing them, but if they let it run on the track that would kill five people, they're not killing them, since they would have died anyways if the person wasn't there.
Did anyone run over the baby instead of the five elderly people? I ran over the elderly people like the majority of people did, since they've lived a long life and the baby hasn't gotten to live a proper life.

So if nothing would happen if you switched tracks, but someone would die if you didn't switch tracks, you wouldn't switch tracks?
I do not work for the trolley company. It is someone else's problem.

If five thousand people were on one track and nobody was on the other track and if you didn't switch tracks, those five thousand people would die, would you still not switch tracks?
I know that's an extreme example, but would you still say that's somebody else's problem when five thousand lives are on the line?
