She was born in Freeport. That's where the hospital is for people in the Brazosport area, which includes Lake Jackson, which is where Selena was from and where Ron Paul is from.

It's a small community, even smaller 50 years ago or whenever Selena was born.

Not a lot of OB/GYN's in town. At least one pediatrician also delivered babies. Bring those new customers into the world!
