Parents, control your sex trophies when you're in a restaurant. This ~5 y/o damn near took out a waitress on two separate occasions. The kid is running around the place like the place is a freaking playground. That crap isn't right or appropriate. I love kids. Spoil the hell out of my friends kids when I get a chance. I admire parents that try to get back to some sort of social interaction by going out for supper with the kids in tow. But for the love of God, if the kid can't behave and all you do is ignore the behavior, you're a POS and shouldn't be going out with the kids to restaurants then.

Listen you west Texas redneck. In east Texas, lunch is a sandwich (if you eat a sit down meal at lunch it's called dinner), supper is what you eat at night. Breakfast is still breakfast.

This was beat into my head as a kid and I still occasionally revert back to it from time to time out of habit. Confuses the hell out of my kids.

All midday meals were "dinner" in West Texas, regardless of whether there was a sandwich involved. Dinner was supper. People looked at me like I was from the 1800s when I got to A&M.

I always like to hear these types of comments from people like the OP, then the next day it's "oh my god I went to a restaurant and this family next to us with 2 younger kids and both were just on an ipad the whole time.'

My parents used to have to drag me off that slide.

I managed Ft. Shiloh back in the day and had to escort several children back to their tables. Kids running around are a danger to themselves and staff. No one wants plates of hot food spilled on them.
