All I know about the williams sisters is what I saw in the movie. I don't watch tennis at all, but as old as they are it seems they are an underdog and I like to root for the underdog. I liked their story I saw in the movie. It's too bad their dad slapped chris rock though.

Yep, I'm pulling for her. Great American story, a black girl breaks into a sport not many thought she and her sister had a chance. But they persisted and both became very successful. She and her sis have stayed in their lane and not made LeBrons (ass) of themselves, as of yet. I think their dad is kind of nutty but I think he was told to tone it down, Serena assured him she got this. A Great American success story.

Karsten Braasch ain't "half" anything. My man was the John Daly of tennis.

You also left out the part where he smoked like 2 packs a day.

Pre-match blathering is on tv over the bar where I am picking up dinner

Serena is in no shape to be playing this young hottie they are showing. She better serve only aces. I don't see her running well on the hard court.

Side note: were any of you in the Houston area back in the day when radio host Rich Lord referred to Serena as "Barry Sanders with a rack"? He caught major flack for that. Boosted the ratings for the radio show for a bit though.

Win or lose, Serena didn't come to this tournament trying to win.

She is at least 25 pounds over anything that could be considered playing weight, and the lack of mobility is going to catch up to her, whether tonight or later on.

Show me another top female tennis player that is anywhere close to that jacked and thick. The # of swings and amount of cardio they have to do don't lend themselves to building that kind of bulk and maintaining it long term.
