• Driving to the ranchito where it will be 101 the next three days
• A brisket taco isn't half bad for breakfast

Dog days of summer
Today is Monday

• Two more days left until school starts
• When the auditors said "no findings" one group took it as a challenge to pick one up
• Hooray, containment and RCCA time!
• Definitely wishing I had decent Internet at home right about now because resolving this stuff at tethering speed really sucks

- catch up on work stuff
- rest liver for a couple days, then back to beach with coworkers for debauchery
- grind out a post-vac bikeride this morning

- woke up at 3:15
- gave up trying to sleep at 3:45
- snacked on carbs and read until around 5:00
- slept on the couch until I got up for work at 6:15
- morning if dragging by, as you can imagine

• Pups slept until 7:00

• Made some delicious coffee
• Debating on working on operatic arias or starting an arrangement of Star trek Into Darkness for concert band
• Gonna practice "Meat Salad" on bass trombone (without cowbell)

"ran" this morning for the first time in at least a month. I will pay for that tomorrow.

Going hard until 5:45 then getting ready for BCS series finale

Everyone at work still thinks I'm the smart one and won't leave me alone. No, I don't know the answer. No, "ask poopypants, he knows everything" should've never been a thing.

I don't know, stop asking me, look it up, I'm not your personal dictionary/encyclopedia/Siri.

And sure as hell don't ask me things when the answers are right in front of you.

All these people want me to give them fish. How about your fish for yourself? I already told you how to throw the reel out there and get a bite but you still want me to hand you the damn fish. No. I'm not your fisherman. I don't work down by the seawall, I don't work on a boat, I hate the freaking water, I don't want to drown and you're driving me insane!

So stop it.

Kid's first day of 3rd grade. I was super excited, but now I miss her.

Spending the next few days catching up on appointments and tasks I put off over the summer.

Part of my time spent up in the middle of the night was running the scenario that I wake up in the middle of the night and go downstairs, slip and fall and crack my skull and die, then AliasGirl40 comes down in the morning and finds me. What will my wife say to her? How will my family live? Can she access the finances? Will my parents take care of them all? Etc.

Have done so and will do so again. He was a good boy on his trip to the vet.

Although he did mark the corner of the customer service counter. The staff said most of the male dogs do that if they get close to it so no worries.
