I just met Christian Lindberg about 15 minutes ago. I always thought I was a bad trombonist because I was comparing myself to him. It's a bad idea to compare yourself to the best player in the world.

I am not a trombone player. I play horn. You know the instrument trombone players have to hear mess up a lot. Are you in the DFW area?

I'm in Houston. I used to double on horn.

I wish I would have seen this earlier. I would have signed my son up to go to the youth classes. He has fallen in love with the trombone and wants to stay in music for the rest of his life. As a freshman this coming year he will be first chair of the second top band at a 6A high school.

I will have to remember to keep checking their facebook page so that I can take him in the next couple of years.. We don't have the money to go overseas but anything in the U.S. could be a fun trip.

When I was a kid I got banished from the Toad Suck One Stop for climbing on the roof for a photo op.

Next year is in Salt Lake City, and the year after that will probably be at TCU in Ft. Worth. They are looking at bids from Europe for 2025.
