Have a sleeve and it always shocks people when they see me outside of work and I don't have my business shirts on. Just make sure you put it where you can cover it when you need to.

Military tattoos are the only kind that are not trashy. Go for it.

I only think they are trashy on the neck or hands. If pants and a long sleeve shirt will cover it, it's fine.

I agree with this. Now granted it also depends on what it is as well.

I think tats are cool if it tells a life story. Mine is a sock from knee to ankle. Every single part of it is my story. If someone really is interested and wants to ask about it I can tell them about every event in time when the ink was put on skin. Started in college in the 90s and worked its way up to the knee. Fully covers when necessary. I receive compliments. My issue though, is now I want a sleeve and there is really no basis to justify it so I just have parked that idea. Do what you like with your own skin and ignore the "noise". But please do not put BS on your body that you will regret.

I got my sleeve done in 7-1/2 hours one day almost 20 years ago. Spending an entire weekday in a tattoo parlor has powered at least 8-10 great stories to share at later dates. The artist who did my first one gave me the sage, always 100% true advice about tattoos. If you get one done and you love it, you're always thinking about what you might want to get next. If you get one and you hate it, you'll never think about another one for the rest of your life.

I've gotten one in the 90s, one in the 00s, and one in the 10s, and even approaching 50 wouldn't mind another one.

110% approved, additional 10% because it is military and sacred.

I love tattoos and would be covered in them if my tastes didnt change every 5 years. In college, i wanted the family crest in college but today... meh. Advice is to have the idea and sit on it for a few years.

I have one, it's my Dad's signature right below my collar bone. Something that is extremely meaningful to me, the signature itself is from the check he wrote to pay off our childhood home when we finally 'had money.' Second it's in a spot he would always 'tap' on himself when walking up to my Lacrosse games as he yelled out 'let's go' - him doing that always let me know he was there, as he showed up a little late due to driving in from out of town for work. I got it 4 years ago and he passed away about 1.5 years ago, he was with me when i did it. Means a lot

Getting anymore takes away from the meaningfulness of my only one.

sorry long story

I wouldn't put a bumper sticker on my Ferrari. Therefore, I have no tattoos on my body.
