I built a spreadsheet that gives me the optimal next word to try based on the confirmed letters, excluded letters, confirmed locations, and disconfirmed locations.

Still tweaking the algorithm (basically assigns point values to every five letter word based on how much it will reduce the valid solution set) but it seems like a good opening move is to enter RAISE, then depending on how many letters you get there put in DONUT or skip directly to narrowing down.
