What slang terms do you hear or use that are completely unique to your area? Living in Michigan, there are quite a few. My favorites:

Fudgies -- Mackinac Island tourists. Because you can't throw a road apple on that island without hitting a fudge shop.

Trunk Slammers -- people from the Detroit metro area who own homes/cabins up north and turn I-75 into a state-wide traffic jam every weekend.

Timmy Ho's -- Tim Horton's coffee & donut shops (imo one of the best things to ever come out of Canada, btw)

Yoopers -- People who live in the U.P., Michigan's upper peninsula

Trolls -- Used by Yoopers to describe people from the lower peninsula (they live under the Mackinac Bridge).

yinz - Pittsburgh's version of y'all

Worked with a kid from Pitt who had the full accent and put french fries on everything. He wouldn't eat a salad without fries on it, nothing down here was as good as a Primanti sandwich, etc. I loved working with that guy.

Used to work with some Michiganders and learned a little about the state. Now when I meet someone from Michigan I hold up my hand so they can point to which part they're from, and they always seem to appreciate that

Probably been 5 years since I've been to a Timmy Ho's and I know they were bought out by some big company that owns Burger King and others so maybe it's gone downhill....but damn, Timmy Ho's is fantastic.

Meximerge

Attempting to merge on to the interstate or other major highway at 35mph.

Not that dangerous for the merger. Extremely dangerous for people on the ramp behind them.

Common from Brownsville to Houston and beyond.

Never heard Trolls. I like though.

Wisconsinites have a few interesting ones:
Bubbler - Water fountain
Stop-and-go-lights - Traffic Lights
Tyme Machine - ATM
Believe you me - I swear
Tennies - any sort of athletic shoe

They use that one in Charleston too.

Otherwise people just ***** about Ohio the same way everyone over there does about California. It's nothing but Ohio refugees coming down I-26 down to move here.

Also the guv'nuh sounds like Foghorn Leghorn but he's ok.

One of my flight instructors from way back in the day sounded like Foghorn Leghorn. Every time he opened his mouth all I could picture was that rooster stuffed into the rear cockpit: "No, that ain't right. pass me them controls, lemme show ya"

My wife's family (from Houston) calls them "bascarts" (bass-carts). Which just sounds stupid.

Here is B/CS, there are people who insist on using the phrase "C-Stat." These people are idiots.
