Unless they've revamped their product line recently, Rebecca Creek is "Spirit Whiskey". Which is basically whiskey mixed with vodka as a cheap filler to make the whiskey stretch further.

Does it have to be whiskey? In general, Texas does not do well at producing aged liquors. The Texas climate just isn't good for it.

Un-aged liquors like vodka or gin are going to be much better bets for a decent quality product.

Lots of people complain about Texas bourbon/whiskey, and some of that criticism is warranted.

But there are some nice ones that aren't overpriced. I would take either Still Austin or Treaty Oak's Ghost Hill. Both are distilled and aged here in Texas, versus bourbon purchased from elsewhere and just bottled here.
