Love all the Christopher Guest movies. Waiting For Guffman is highly underrated and A Mighty Wind has a great soundtrack. My favorite deleted scene from Best in Show

As someone who shows dogs, this movie is spot on and hilarious. I even have one of those bees as a joke.

I've been to the big Houston dog shows a few times. I'm not into the judging. The meet the breads, agility, and fly-ball is entertaining.

I've participated in meet the breed a few times and have been featured on the Houston dog shows Facebook for it. I competed in agility until they pulled it from the show a few years ago. I remember running once and Mattress Mack was first row in the audience. Fly ball is a lot of fun, drag racing for dogs!

Confirmation is boring, especially to watch, but it's fun in its own way and I have met so many people because of it.

Wife's main hobby is training/showing/competition with collies. She's on a fly ball team, runs dogs on agility, herding, tracking, dock diving, etc. Still some confirmation shows but not as much as early on.

I've been to many shows and Guest nailed lots of the stereotypes. Fortunately now that my wife has worked out the logistics for showing, I only rarely end up at shows which gives me many free weekends for fishing or whatever.

Watched with my wife on our first date at her house. Man we have probably watched it 50 times since, and have multiple inside jokes from it - the # of kimonos packed for the 36 hours in Philadelphia, the ability to talk or not talk for hours, basically everything Fred Willard says, all the kinds of nuts that CG can recite.

3 times in our marriage while at social events, I have made my wife spit out food or a drink when I take the line about going to see where the cream cheese is made that Eugene Levy's fellow terrier lover says at the beginning of the movie. She's walked up while I'm talking to someone and I've turned and said, "Honey, honey! They're going to Philadelphia to see where the cream cheese is made just like we've been talking about all these years!" she's always pissed off even though she's laughing.

Some movies are so spot on that they could be classified as documentaries. Best in Show is one. Dazed and Confused is another one.
