Why get mad? I know people who jumped in line (including my boss and secretary). I didn't feel right doing it, so I did a polite pass. But at no point was I mad

Personally I don't think someone "jumping the line" is a big deal considering the fact that the federal government has ordered enough vaccines plus extra for every American citizen.

If the vaccine only confers relative protection for a few months like some suspect then its probably good to get yours later once life gets back to being closer to normal.

The only people that should care are those who are above 70 and/or the immune compromised. For everyone else the risks of the vaccine are about the same as the risks for getting the disease.

By appearance my wife and I "jumped the line". I have hereditary hypertension and she has one kidney. We registered as soon as we could and got our second shot today. Careful judging...

Wife has registered me for several waiting lists. I don't fall in 1a or 1b but apparently WilCo thinks hypertension gets you there so I'm going Wednesday. I'm not trying to game the line but if they say go.

I want to see a cans comparison between the two groups.

The exact same thing. I haven't had a flu shot in my entire adult life. I've gotten it once or twice. got sick, got better, went on with my life. The vast, vast majority of people I know who get the flu every year are people who get the flu shot.

I don't get vaccines now out of pure laziness, but I don't think it's weird that people them. I got a flu shot in college during my freshman year because everyone was getting sick and I couldn't afford a week of that.

But I am against unnecessary medicine of all kinds, including "vaccines" like the covid vaccine that have not been put through the same rigor of testing as other vaccines. It's not a "vaccine" like the flu vaccine. It's an experimental drug. Any doctor who tells you this vaccine was held to the same standards for mass distribution as other vaccines (like the flu vaccine) is either lying or utterly uninformed, and is merely regurgitating what they were told by the pharmaceutical companies that are profiting from it. As a factual matter, it was not held even close to the same standard.

It went through the same rigor as a phase III. They were able to reach approval milestones simultaneously instead of waiting years to finish one to begin the next.

Looks like I just got one spot closer to the front of the line!

Most of my friends and I don't give a crap about the Rona in the first place and won't be getting vaccinated.

I'm extremely low risk and might've had la puta rona already anyway, but it's free and I'll probably get it once all the old people and lolfats go and they open it up to everybody.

I mean, it's either get it or be turned back at the papers inspection stations they're going to put up so why not?

I still don't trust these "vaccines". Came out too fast and without any long term trials.

There was never a vaccine for SARS and I heard this virus is 77% similar.

Another was an atty at a hospital, who qualified.

Another was a healthy 38 year old who had a BMI that barely qualified him.

Others actually got stock that was being given out because of a power loss - I'm more ok with this as it is at least principally consistent.

I know several Trumpers who cut in line to get the vaccine.

Where are the examples of your friends cutting the line? You gave 3 examples where your dumb ass admits all 3 qualified.

Fair enough. However, I am not a statist who follows the letter of the law. There is a reason for the hierarchy, which is that we have to have bright line mechanisms for identifying the most vulnerable. When you don't fit that description, despite technically fitting the category, it says more about the person than anything. These are the same people who want everyone to wear masks to protect others!

The young people I know that have had shots are simply fat. Yay for poor self control!

I've had people go off on me here because I got the vaccine early. Some people are just real nazis about it.

Sitting in the Salt Palace Convention Center for the mandatory 15 minute post-vaccine waiting period right now and just scheduled my 2nd shot (Pfizer). This was really easy and a coffee shop is across the street.

Looks like the second dose is March 15. Also 6 hours later my arm is sore.
