Peloton seems like the greatest fitness scam in our lifetime with what they charge.

Like that exercise mirror they are now advertising that is thousands of dollars. Although I don't know who makes that.

Lulu bought the company earlier this year for some crazy amount.

There was a time when all boots had riding heels that served a purpose to keep your foot from going forward in the stirrups and were made for keeping spurs from going down on the heel. If you actually use a horse for riding they are not good boots for that.

I must be a real D-bag because I have a pair of Tecovas that are great and have a Peloton I use all the time. For the content they put out now for all types of fitness I easily get my money's worth.

Got a pair of black full quill ostrich Luchese Ropers with crepe soles.

Waiting for those bad boys to come back in style.

I have a pair of Lucheses and a pair of Tecovas, and I neither ride horses nor care about fad marketing. Nor do I care what any of the dorks on this website think about fashion.

To answer your question though, I like the Tecovas a lot and get compliments every time I wear them, which isn't super often.

Fair enough. But you do realize that if only working cowboys (which I assume are the only people you think should wear boots) were the only people buying boots, then most boot makers would be out of business. Same with Stetson, too, for that matter.

I'm fond of the Ariats. Seem to fit well and are inexpensive.

Oh boy Justin boots, you must be a real American. How do those fine hand-crafted Chinese boots hold up nowadays?

Tecovas has an interesting story. The CEO is young. He worked in consulting in NYC. He checked google's search index to see what consumer products were under-indexed relative to the market size. He came across boots, and went to a strip in Mexico, where a lot of leather products and other boots get made. He maxed out his CCs up to like $50k or something to build up initial inventory. But his marketing went so well that he sold old really quickly after launching.

I have a pair of Tecovas ostrich and think they're great for what they are. Have gotten numerous compliments.

They are a nice pair of boots. They are narrower in the heel so cuffs that sit above the heel on Ariats might be a little too long on Tecovas.
