My yard guy mows Thursday and everyone else is sporadic, except the neighbors across the street. His yard woman mows Tuesday, then the owner mows again Saturday. LOL! Idiot

My dad does that. He makes a nice little chunk of beer money throughout the year.

The irony of the one neighbor of ours that pays for lawn service is both of them are school teachers/coaches. I'm sure they're loaded!!!

Reminds me of those who get a hair cut every 3rd day.

Our lawn guy mows our lawn every other week. My neighbor mows her lawn every three days, uses scissors to cut individual pieces of grass in the interim and works on her yard from morning to night single every day during the spring and summer (not exaggerating). Our yards are over an acre each.

When our lawn guy comes, she stands by our shared wrought iron fence and watches him the entire time to make sure that he does not get any grass clippings in her yard. She has yelled at him before for this.

What neighborhood is this?

I will be selling and buying inside 6 months and will probably take my lawn care up a notch assuming we get a smaller yard. Ours is .29 acres and I'm outside a lot

Not posting the neighborhood, but we are in the DFW area. Our neighborhood is small with about 20 houses on large lots.

There is no doubt that my neighbor's lawn is beautiful (as it should be with all the time and effort she puts into it), but no reasonable person would drive by my house and think there is an issue with our lawn.

I wish my neighbor did. I mow mine around 5-6pm on Friday or Saturday. He likes to mow his around 8am Sunday morning.

I really like to cut grass, trim roses, level spots in the yard, etc. I cut my grass every fourth day. My neighbors usually cut theirs Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings. I have solved many a problem while pushing a mower.

I've done my yard for 15 years now with the same $400 mower and $150 battery powered weedeater/blower set.I ain't paying nobody $50 to mow 2500sf of grass.

I just let my yard die every summer.

Problems in suburbia.......

I would mow my own, but it's a hilly son of a ***** and my yard is covered in hardwoods that deposit tons of leaves in my yard/gutters. I'd rather spend the little time off I have working on other projects. I still fertilize it, plant beds, and take care of the irrigation system myself. I do virtually all of the house repairs/maintenance and upgrades myself as well.

In years past the yard was outsourced but since I'm divorced and a lolpoor for a couple more years I went back to doing it on my own. I'm in coastal SC so cutting the grass weekly is pretty much a must since the big ass Toro riding mower has mulching blades. Since going back to doing it myself the grass looks a lot better for some reason.

Whenever I cut the grass doesn't seem to matter much to any of the houses around here since everyone has to do it or get it done pretty often.

What's it like being a lazy ass bum?

I resodded St. Augustine last April and my yard looks awesome. Just mowed and trimmed before the summer furnace kicks in.

I mow and trim the front Every 7 days and 4 days later do the back.

Honda double bladed muncher. Most excellent.

I sharpen the blades every 2 months

That yard is amazing.

Now think of the man hours you'd have saved had you killed it all and planted native ground covers instead.

Pretty much. I don't know how some of you go 2 weeks. I'm on a 5-6 day schedule. But then again....

Mow your lawn and wash your car. No wonder America is obese.

How the hell do you people go 2 weeks without mowing your lawn? Mine needs it every 5 days or so. I enjoy doing it myself.

Between my neighbor an I we have 4 acres. There is easily a half acre between us that we gladly take turns mowing. Other than that, I mow when I feel like it needs it. It's mostly like pasture grass other than the back yard anyway. I'll mow all my and my neighbor's yard if need be, like when their mower was broken. I don't even know wtf I'm saying here.
