I was a student at the time. It was one of those things where you ran into someone on campus that you knew and when they told you the story there was disbelief that something like that had happened. Then disbelief would turn into laughing because it was just such a crazy story.

That Tennessee game opened a lot of our eyes on how unathletic , slow, and small we were compared to SEC schools. Almost so much to say unless we actually joined the SEC we'd always be behind other programs.

That was my 2nd to last time wasting money to watch us lose a bowl game, following the 98 cotton bowl and 99 sugar bowl. I followed up the tenn loss by flying out to watch the 45-10 humiliation to cal at the holiday bowl, the game that forever convinced me that gambling controls college football. Those last 2 experiences of spending hundreds of $$$ to see us outscored 83-17 did me in. I've been to 3 games since, all against deadbeats

As someone who graduated in 05 this thread gave me several lol moments. I was at the game holy crap that sucked. Should've seen it coming when we lost to Baylor (I went to that one too and it was worse than the Cotton Bowl). Watching that video makes me wonder how listeater would be treated today. She deserved a royal ass kicking but was treated pretty classy.
