Lots of acid and salt damages the soil. RoundUP is inert in 48 hours.

Went from Round UP to Ground Clear but have been using Eraser Max Concentrate. I mix it 2 ounces to the gallon. It a thicker fluid than most, I think due to the surfactant in it.

Sometimes the weeds will start to yellow and then turn brown in a day or so. Other times they do not show any yellowing for a couple of days. But it kills the hell out of anything you put it on.

Just pour used motor oil around the fence line. It's less wasteful than pouring down a storm drain.

Depends if you have grass to protect where you are spraying. If not, buy the weed/grass combo killer. Generic works the same as name brand.

I have been using eraser for the last year and seems to kill everything it touches.

Chickens seem to be knocking out my weed problem

Maybe the pre-mixed stuff, but glyphosate concentrate (Roundup) hasn't gone anywhere and you don't need an applicator license:

Mix it per the label instructions in a small pump up sprayer.

ETA: this will kill everything you spray it on. You've been warned. If you want weed spray, look for a diluted, homeowner grade mix with 2,4-D and dicamba for harder to kill weeds that "shouldn't" kill your grass. I think the homeowner mixes get you around counties with 2,4D and dicamba spray restrictions.

I would have to look at current prices but glacial acetic acid is cheap and can be used in very small volumes to make vinegar, which im assuming is what drove the cost up so much.

The original recipe calls for high concentration vinegar, 28% comes to mind but honestly can't remember but yes that is expensive. Regardless a full label rate of glyphosate is somewhere in the neighborhood of like $0.33/gallon

It's against the law but this is the best answer.
Roundup seems to last about 4-5 months and weeds return even less if lots of rain. .
Diesel keeps nothing growing where you drop it for well over a year
