We'd go on Thursday nights because they had 50 cent wells/$1 doubles. There was a regular guy who always came in just wearing a speedo, but other than that, always seemed like a normal bar.

Early 90's not a lot of frats around TAMC. This place was for the flaming Dr Peppers. You could always get a booth and just hang out. It was on the rotation my Senior year. The Chicken, Harrys, The Tap...then the night club in the same shopping center can't remember the name.

Carney's is still around
I think it is owned by the group that owns the Corner Bar now.

Love Carney's! Wonderful owners and staff. Loved the "buy one dinner get one free" on Fridays (pre-covid). Very good beer selection and reasonable prices. I wish them the best during this round of closure.
