Houston chick who killed her husband by stabbing him about 200 times and then buried him in the backyard. Found guilty of murder this morning by a Harris County jury. She claims he was spouse abuser.

SoCal- Several months ago, the former stripper tied her husband's arms to the bed, stradled him, and proceeded to fatally stab him 193 times. She then drug him to their backyard, buried him, and cleaned up the blood. She claimed self defense. At around 11:45 this morning, the jury found her guilty of murder (imagine that). Here's the link:

Doesn't appear that the years have been kind to her, but you never know what make up and hair can do for appearance.

I couldn't get past her plunging the knife 193 times into her husband. If things are as bad as she said, you pack your stuff and walk away.

She's been in prison for 17 years, so there's that.

I don't know what to think about her guilt. Clearly she killed him, but more particularly whether she was abused. I do know personally of women who have stayed with physically abusive men purely out of fear. I think it's easy for a man to say just leave but women don't think the same way a man does especially if she grew up in an abusive home. Imagine being the smaller and proportionally physically weaker partner in an abusive relationship and then having to prove it and make it all public. Not an easy thing to do.

Yeah, I know it's probably hard for some. Here's the thing; if you just leave and start a new life on your own without trying to press charges for abuse, you don't need to worry about proving anything. I am truly sympathetic to women who feel they can't leave, but it's just not true. They just need some perspective to know there's a better life if they leave.

Had she just left, she wouldn't have gone to prison and the husband would still be alive. Sometimes guys faced with the very real prospect of losing their family will actually make real changes in their lives and behaviors. Sometimes it's enough for the families to reconcile.

The reality is that we don't truly know if there was abuse, or if there was, to what extent. If there was, it didn't justify homicide.

March 04 was a long time ago... unemployed and in between jobs back then, but that's right around when I interviewed with the company I work for now.

Is this the one where the prosecutor did a live demo in the courtroom, complete with tying a male colleague to a bed, straddling him, and fake-stabbing him while shouting "SHE STABBED HIM OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER"? That was some damn fine prosecutin.

Pretty sure, I remember somebody doing a lot of stabby motion in that case.
