I assume that none of you have parents or grandparents in the elderly category and that's why you're so callous. the "okay boomer" meme was annoying but whatever. "Boomer remover" is disgusting in the face of an actual pandemic that puts their mortality rate at above 10%.
I thought it was only liberals that were talking this way, but guess i'm wrong. People who think that this generation homes and investments will somehow magically get allocated to the younger generations is also extremely funny. Unless you happen to be their child, in which case you'd rather keep their lives than their money and homes, you ain't getting nothing.
You aren't getting their jobs either as the recession ramps up and we're all jobless.
People are filled with extreme ignorance. It's not funny to people who are of that age group or who have people they love in that age group. I've never heard of a society literally cheering on the demise of their elderly. Disgusting.
Eh, to be fair, the boomers raised the generation that raised us. It is their teachings compounded another generation.LupinusTexensis said:

It's funny I think the whole "boomer" thing IS turning out to be the same as racism. Just blanket hating a whole group of people because of their ****ing AGE? Seriously?
It's also some kind of ****ed up "divine retribution" bull**** in an age without religion. A way to say "well they deserved it." These people blame a whole generation for class warfare are using the same logic to hate the most vulnerable among us.
I do not want it to happen, but it would be ironic if this turns into the Spanish Flu scenario where the second wave kills the young.
**** anyone who hates the elderly. What kind of ****ed up society do we live in.

You know who is filled with extreme ignorance? Boomers. So far they seem to be the one generation that isn't taking this **** seriously and they are the one most at risk.
So yeah I'm spending the next couple of weeks at home to reduce the chance of spreading it around meanwhile the olds don't seem to give a **** and think it's fake.
ive never met a boomer that hates us. My folks are on the tail end '58/'59.LupinusTexensis said:

You must know different ones than I do because I've yet to meet one who doesn't talk **** about anyone younger than 45 any chance they get and my parents are the same age as yours.

Well I am a Boomer and I've never criticized any generation. What's the point? Everyone is different. There are good and bad of all ages.Beer Baron said:

They've been through a lot. The entire Cold War as their youth, Cuban middle crisis, etc. They aren't easily startled. Plus they are mostly all retired and generally in the don't give a **** stage.
Perspective is important.

It's not the only real one. But it could well be the only correct one.
Um.. No. I live in rural America and we are masters at social distancing compared to city folks. Also, all of the grocery stores are stocked for those of us who use them. Me, I have a garden (well, not yet) every year and I will be eating fresh vegetables and fruits. I also have apple trees, and there are plenty of pigs and cattle for the taking. So, the rural areas are waaaay safer than the cities. HTH.CondensedFoggyAggie said:

Boomer remover is clever. We said worse in my day. I can laugh at it.

I call bull**** on this. The vast majority of Boomers I know cling to their desks like they'll shrivel up and die 10 seconds after announcing their retirement.
rural areas generally fall far lower on priority lists when it comes to emergency medical care. Ask yourself this how far away is the closet hospital? Now imagine that hospital closing or being unable to treat you during an outbreaktreston58 said:Um.. No. I live in rural America and we are masters at social distancing compared to city folks.
