But the new svelte, muscular AiT doesn't sweat nearly so much and got me to thinking: "AiT" I thought " why do you still wear an undershirt with your polo shirt?"

And so I quit and IT. IS. GLORIOUS. It's like being upper body commando 24/7. The only reason I can see wearing an undershirt (and please wear a V-neck so you don't look like a dorky CT) is if you sweat in a piggish fashion or have voluminous chest hair that needs encagement.

(p.s. - I know pigs literally do not sweat but as part of the lexicon, saying "sweat like a hippo" doesn't work.)

Frankly. I think this is one of the valid reasons. But aren't there materials that don't let the hair poke through as much?

I don't wear one and I have some chest hair sticking out but not too much and of course in the Texas heat I sweat a little. I'm thinking about getting a v neck or two though to wear my "clima cool" style polos in the summer.

I do and tuck it in since I carry IWB with some pretty rough textured grips. That **** hurts if against bare skin all day. Probably gonna swap them out at some point.

Yes there are. Some polos I have cover the hair so I don't wear one, but most don't so sometimes just a habit.

Winter time yes. Summer time no.

For sure, ever since I moved to the Houston area. The heat and humidity, you have to wear something to wick away the sweat so you don't look like a sweaty pig.

I wear a long sleeve white shirt under my polos and a puka shell necklace because I am stuck in 2002.

1) I still wear a white tshirt under most every shirt. I would rather ruin an undershirt with deodorant stains than my polo/dress shirt/favorite tshirts.

2) I do not care if it looks dorky or not.

I wear with cotton polos and do not with sport polos.

Yep, I still do. I'm in good shape and still sweat enough to warrant it. Also, I don't like tags, and have some shirts that don't feel great directly on the skin. However, my undershirts have a 100% success rate of feeling comfortable and providing a moisture barrier to the more expensive clothing.
