You can also carry concealed into businesses with posted signs banning and not be charged with a crime as long as you leave when asked. So if you properly conceal you can basically legally carry in any business.

I thought Republicans/conservatives were for individual freedoms and rights. This seems like a pretty big middle finger to private property rights and business owners.
No, what it does is prevent a simple mistake (not noticing the sign) from being a crime. My understanding is that as long as it's posted, you can now still ask them to leave, even if the signage isn't 100% compliant at all entrances.

Businesses still have recourse if you refuse to leave. You only have to be asked once. Can this be abused? Sure, anything can. This also only applies to 30.06, not 30.07.

Also, business operations always have, and always will be regulated differently than "private property". Let's not conflate the two.

You as an individual have the freedom to hate anyone on account of race, creed, color, religion, etc. and to publicly speak out on those awful beliefs and to even avoid commerce with them if possible. As a business owner, you do not have those same rights (definitely not to the same degree).

If the signs are compliant shouldn't you be able to notice them when you enter a business? If you are going to carry, is it an unreasonable expectation that you look for 30.06 signs when you enter a business? If you lack the awareness to notice a 15 inch tall sign when you walk into a business, maybe you shouldn't be carrying a gun.

I'll bold my statement above again. Now, I may be mistaken here as I haven't read the source statute yet, but this is my understanding - that both sides are thrown a bone and asked to be reasonable in their interactions in the process.

I always look for signs when I am carrying. but I get the reason for this law. I carry every day, and I'm sure I have been distracted and missed a sign at one point in the last decade or so. I don't know if you carry, but if you do, can you GUARANTEE that you haven't missed a sign? This simply makes the oversight not a crime. Don't see what's wrong with that.

SIDE NOTE: An individual's constitutional rights DO supersede a business's rights.

That doesn't sound very responsible.

Why? It's just a gun. You act like it's a pipe bomb strapped to our chest. Stop urinating in your panties over it.

You seem to be very caviler in your attitude toward firearms. Do you often forget your gun in places? Ever leave it in a public bathroom? Or are you one of the 4000 people that forgot they had packed their firearm when trying to fly?

simple mistakes that could happen to anyone right?

Where is this ridiculous stuff coming from?!?!

Not seeing a sign = trying to fly carry-on with a gun or leaving it loaded somewhere.

What? I generally don't have my firearm out to "leave in places". It's in a holster. Even when I'm taking an Obama. And I always pack a firearm when traveling if able. It's not against the law Einstein.

A gun is just a tool.

I mean its very clearly against the law to fly with a gun on your person or in your carry on. I don't know why you would claim otherwise.

I think it will help keep it out of the high schools. Not that they still won't get it, it will just be more difficult.

Worked for weed and booze. Why would it work for smokes?

What we can't have a little fun on the GB?

If I actually took this place seriously I might be bothered. But lets be honest here. No one is going to change their mind on the issue. Bo will be just as stubborn as I will on the matter.

Of course it's illegal. No one claimed otherwise. 4000 people is a drop in the bucket.
