19 is very heavily 'weighted' towards San Antonio. Although all of the olds in NB probably bring the fat number up.

Are San Antonio and New Braunfels starting to be considered as a metroplex like Dallas - Fort Worth?

First time I've seen an article list then together like that.

We have the best food in the nation and live over half the year in 100 degree heat with nasty humidity, of course there are a ton of fat people.

I wouldn't compare NB to Fort Worth, and for the most part the metro census has put SA and NB together

No, Nsews Brasunfesl is still way the hell out in the middle of nowhere. Probably still closer to SA than FW is to Dallas, but no real industry of its own other than Schlitterbahn and getting college kids drunk (then fining college kids for getting and being drunk).

It was probably a coin flip between stacking NB with San Marcos/Austin or the San Antonio Mexoplex.

Yeah, and there are plenty of people who live in NB and work in Austin as well. Eventually that entire "I-35 corridor" between SA and Austin will be one giant metropolitan blob.

Similarly, i can't wait for the meltdown when CS is officially included as an "exburb" of Houston

9% of their formula for this particular report is based on "City Friendliness to an Active Lifestyle", "Access to Parks and Recreational Activities", and "Number of Health Educators".

Used to be the only thing between SA and NB was the Snake Farm, unfortunately now it's concrete just about all the way.

Schertz is San Antonio's Katy for the next few years. New Braunfels is San Antonio's Hempstead.

disagree. It took a long time for Houston to catch Katy. Katy is 29 miles from Houston. Schertz/Cibolo/universal city has been a part of SA for as long as I can remember.

My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave.

Not surprised that Knoxville is #7. When we moved here 9 years ago from DFW we realized pretty quickly that people here were not very healthy.
