Good choice. I recently purchased my 7th, 8th and 9th Dionos.

3 kids in car seats, two cars, one car accident.

Late but good call on the Diono. It is the best bang for your buck, comfortable, lasts a long time, and has a small footprint in the vehicle. Once you face forward it is even more compact. The boulevard is like having a La-z-boy in your car.

The diono also folds so you can put it in a travel bag for flying.

AT the time we had a standard SUV and needed 3 car seats...not easy. This was 4 years ago, so not sure what's available now.

We basically sold a perfectly good SUV and bought a Tahoe simply because we couldn't fit 3 car seats...I despise car seats.

I have 3 car seats in the back seat of my Chevy Colorado. 1 forward 2 backward. You didn't try very hard.

Its convertible yes, but our kid maxed the height out before he was 2.5.

And ours has those horrible carabiner type clips, not the nice button release click tight.

Your kid must be freakishly tall... max height is 49" and my al.ost 4 year old still fits in it just fine with room to adjust higher

He is 44" or so, and it gets super uncomfortable for them at about 35" because of the recline.

Oh we did it for a couple years...our oldest is 20 months older than his twin bro/sis.

It wasn't ideal once we got to booster seats as we had to pull one out just to buckle the seatbelt...definitely a first world burden, but still a burden. Also got tired of kids "touching" each other and fighting in back seat...they were pretty close together.

Got the Tahoe for third row and went with bucket seats so they can walk to third row and not climb over seats.

Gotcha, and glad to see somebody has lived through this. 2 year old and 2 month old twins. Shoot me.

Sorry to hear...obviously kidding.

I bet you are exhausted pretty much all day/everyday. It gets better once the oldest goes to Kindergarten.

Now all is awesome! Kids play and learn together and have a best friend with them at all times...they have no idea how lucky they are.

Keep up the good work!

Went with the diono.

Thanks for the help losers.
That's probably a good call, we have a Britax that looks a lot like that one and it's a royal pain in the ass to clean.

We don't swap out car seats, they stay in her car and the little people just go in the back seat of whichever car I'm driving if I have to pick anybody up from day care.

I feel like we cant be talking about the same car seat. The recline is adjustable, and again, my almost 4 year old (who is not short) is not uncomfortable in it at all.

The Britax is really easy to install, clean and put the kid in. The click tight system is awesome.

You WILL survive. We have twin 6 years olds adn a 4 year old and they're getting really fun and scary smart.

I say WILL but we also had the sense to have the twins first when we didnt know any better.

I know you already bought the rXT, but give the rX consideration next time. It's the exact same seat, without the wings around the head. The wings just end up getting in the way, especially when they get older.

That is straight from Diono's website. By the time they're that age you could just use a booster, but something to think about.

Late to the party but just wanted to throw in an endorsement of one that hasn't been mentioned. We have a Clek Fllo and love it. Founder was a former auto crash test engineer. Narrow base (can fit 3 across if needed), sits high so kids can see out, easy to clean, good ease of use, easy install/deinstall.

Rule #1?
Excellent color scheme that matches any vehicle.

Seriously. Narrow base that can convert to booster with adjustable head rest. Easy to clean and install material that covers better padding than most others I inspected.
